Traxxas has had great success with models such as the Revo Trucks, Maxx Trucks, Slash Short Course Trucks, Rustler and Bandit, just to name a few. Since they started, Traxxas has grown to become globally recognized as one of the industry leaders of RTR radio controlled vehicles and watercraft, helping push the limits of the radio controlled hobby. Traxxas Headquarters are based in Texas U.S.A, and manufactured in their manufacturing facility located in Taiwan, and has local distributors worldwide. Traxxas was founded in 1986 with the goal of producing high-quality RTR (ready to run) radio controlled vehicles to cater for all skill levels, from beginners all the way to the expert hobbyist. So, this model is better suited for racing.Traxxas Traxxas - The Fastest Name in Radio Control The slightly lower ground clearance also makes it somewhat more stable and easier to control. This RC truck is able to speed up to 30 mph. On the other hand, Traxxas Slash’s new Titan 12 Turn 550 Motor is more powerful. It is quite agile and controllable, but the high ground clearance may make the handling a little bit tricky on sharp turns and maneuvers. It is powered by the Titan 12 Turn 550 modified motor with the Revo-Spec Torque-Control slipper clutch. The older model, Stampede, is geared towards off-roading but not racing. There is a significant difference between Traxxas Slash vs Stampede. The whole construction and electronics are waterproof so that it can perform in any environment. It is equipped with 4.3-inch all-terrain tires. However, the chassis is longer and wider, and it sits about half an inch lower to the ground. Traxxas Slash shares many parts with Traxxas Stampede. So, this is a great choice for beginners who don’t have enough knowledge yet about RC vehicles. In other words, you won’t have to assemble anything. One great thing about Traxxas Slash is that, just like Traxxas Rustler (see our previous post about Traxxas Slash vs Rustler), it comes RTR (ready-to-run). It is a 1/10-scale shot-course race truck. On the other hand, Traxxas Slash was introduced for the first time in 2008. It has the waterproof XL-5 ESC and watertight receiver box for all-weather performance. It is very rugged and durable, ready for use against the environment. The raised body mounts and distinctive paint scheme create a unique sporty look. Such design allows the vehicle to have higher ground clearance and to have large-diameter monster tires – 2.8” Talon tires with pre-glued foam inserts on mirror-chrome wheels. It has a rectangular chassis which is raised to above the front and rear suspension assemblies. It is a 1/10-scale monster truck, featuring front and rear suspension, transmission, and speed controls. It was first introduced to the market in 1994. Of the two, Traxxas Stampede is the older model.

But it also has good performance for racing. Just like the Stampede, the Slash has good ground clearance. However, the introduction of Traxxas Slash has shifted the market share a little bit. The high ground clearance and aggressive tires ensure uncompromising performance on nearly any terrain. For quite a long time, Traxxas Stampede has become the choice for off-roading. In the following article, we will discuss about Traxxas Slash vs Stampede. Although there are cheaper options on the market, Traxxas’s RC vehicles are still preferred due to the quality.
